The environmental education curriculum of the CVEEC’s 4-day, 3- night program, All the Rivers Run, is taught to students in grades 4-6 with a focus on exploration of the watershed. The upper level curriculum, designed for 7th & 8th graders, focuses on human impact on the watershed and exploration of low impact development tools to lessen that impact.
Time is spent mostly outdoors discovering the diversity of plant and animal life in Cuyahoga Valley National Park, learning about sustainable living, and exploring the intricacies of the Cuyahoga River Watershed. Hiking, singing, creating, sharing and learning are all a part of this hands-on, high energy experience.
School administrators are encouraged to contact the CVEEC for application materials if the are interested in scheduling a trip for their students. Applications for inclusion in the following school year's schedule are sent in November, but can be requested at any time of the year. (
